Uses
Vistalux PVC roofing sheets are used most commonly for carports, canopies, roof lights, cold frames and covered walkways. Any structure that requires protection from the elements and needs access to sunlight will generally do well with a transparent PVC roofing sheet. The corrugated shape of transparent roofing materials has been said to allow up to three times more natural light into a space than a flat piece of vertical glazing covering the same area. Curved skylights use the same principle to increase natural light into a room!
Durability
Vistalux developed its PVC roofing to be extremely hardwearing and durable. Their sheets are boasted to be scratch, impact and UV resistant – all to increase their durability and prolong lifespan so you can have a great roof for several years to come. PVC also offers excellent fire performance; it is a "self-extinguishing" material that melts away from flames and stops burning once the fire source is removed.
Vistalux Warranty
Because Vistalux sheets are developed to be so durable, they are covered by a ten-year warranty. Should your roofing sheet fail within ten years of purchase, you can have it replaced completely FREE of charge. (Further details on the Vistalux Warranty below).
Installation
Installation is straightforward and even novice DIYers should manage to handle PVC sheets with relative ease. Although hardwearing, Vistalux PVC is very lightweight and easy to handle, cut and drill. This product is covered by a 10 year warranty. A replacement is provided free of charge if the product has failed due to a manufacturing defect, in normal climatic conditions within a 10 year period from the date of purchase.
Vistalux MUST be fixed and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions for the warranty to remain valid: re-erections or consequential damage costs are not included.
